Astronomy

Astronomy is the scientific study of matter, gravity and light and celestial objects  (such as stars, galaxies, planets, moons, asteroids, comets and nebulae).  These objects are outside the earth's atmosphere and astronomy includes the study of their physical and chemical properties.  vCalc's Astronomy library contains equations and constants used to study these celestial objects.

Featured in the library is the Astronomy Calculator: It has 31 functions covering:

The Astronomy library also accommodates the units used in Astronomy with automatic unit conversions.  These include units of mass (e.g., Solar Masses), distances (e.g., light years), and time (e.g., sidereal days).

Finally, the astronomy library had useful data related to the field of astronomy including the mass of stars and planets, commonly used astronomical distances and more.
