The atomic unit of velocity is defined by the electron velocity in the first Bohr orbit.  It is one of the derived atomic units constants.  The unit of velocity is expressed in meters per seconds (m/s).  It can be derived by dividing the Bohr radius by the Atomic Unit of time.
