The 3D Geometry calculator has formulas for volumes and surface areas of euclidean shapes (3D) including spherical (ellipsoid), conic, cylindrical, rectangular and other miscellaneous shapes. /attachments/105724a4-4976-11e3-9569-bc764e049c3d/ShapeA.png common geometric shapes in 3D

For 2D objects like circles, triangles, polygons and curves, go to the Geometry (2D) calculator.

Description

The Geometry (3D) calculator provides a useful subset of formulas from vCalc's geometry (3D) library of equations.  These formulas cover several common geometric shapes including the following:

  • Cuboids (aka cubes and boxes)
  • Cones and cone frustums
  • Paraboloids
  • Cylinders
  • Spheres and ellipsoids
  • Torus
  • Pyramids

The formulas include basic equations for volume and surface areas. The formulas all include vCalc's powerful unit conversion engine and let you enter the dimensions in various units and then lets you convert the results (areas and volumes) into different units.
