The Velocity Addition calculator computes the sum of two velocities (v1 and v2).
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
- (v1) Velocity 1
- (v2) Velocity 2
Velocity Addition (v): The calculator returns the sum of the two velocities (v) in meters per seconds. However, this can be automatically converted into other velocity units via the pull-down menu.
The Math / Science
The formula for the sum of two velocities is:
v = v1 + v2
where:
- v is the sum of two velocities
- v1 is the first velocity
- v2 is the second velocity
