This equation raises 10 to the power of the input value.
Because we most frequently work in a ten-based numeric system, a common sizing characterization is to compare metrics with their approximate power of ten. We also use scientific notation to describe numbers of large size. For example, 1E25 means `1 * 10^25`, which in turn is `1 * 10,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,0000` (that's a 1 followed by 25 zeroes).
This equation will produce the following numbers in sequence when you enter successive inputs of 1,2,3,4,5 : 10, 100, 1000, 10000, 100000.
