The Frequency of a Photon equation is used to calculate the frequency of a photon using the energy of a photon and Planck's constant, where:
- E = Energy
- h = Plank's constant
Frequency(f): The equation returns frequency in hertz. However, this can be automatically converted to other frequency units via the pull-down menu.
The Math / Science
Note the following relations are also true:
where:
- E = energy of light
- f = frequency
- h = Planck's Constant
- c = Speed of Light in a vacuum
