The Conveyor Production Capacity calculator computes the number of units of some commodity that can be moved by a conveyor system in some amount of time.
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
- (n) - Number of units per square meter on the conveyor.
- (W) - Width of conveyor
- (TS) - Transfer Speed of conveyor
- (RT) - Total Run Time of the conveyor
Conveyor Production Capacity (CUO): The calculator returns the number of units processed on the conveyor in the specified time.
The Math Science
A conveyor belt moves at a fixed rate. One can estimate the volume conveyed over a period of time if the unit carrying capacity is provided. The formula for the Conveyor Volume Output is:
CUO = n/m2 ⋅ W ⋅ TS ⋅ RT
where:
- CUO = Conveyor Units Output
- n = Number of Units carried on a square meter of conveyor area
- W = Width of conveyor
- TS = Transfer Speed of conveyor
- RT = Run Time of conveyor
