Semicircle - Volume Height

h=2Vπr2
(V)Volume of Semicircle
(r)Radius of Semicircle

The Height of a Semicircle Volume calculator computes the vertical height of a semicircular shape based on the volume (V) and the height (r). /attachments/dec5b53f-a536-11ea-952b-bc764e203090/Semi-circle Volume.png

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

  • (r) This is the radius of the semicircle shape
  • (V) This is the volume of the semicircle

Semicircle Height (h):  The calculator returns the radius in meters.  However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.

The Math / Science

The formula for the volume of a semicircle is:

       V = ½•π•r²•h

where:

If you solve the above equation for the height of the semicircle volume you get:

       h=2Vπr2
