INSTRUCTIONS: Choose your preferred units and enter the following:

  • (M) This is the mass of the cylinder.
  • (a)  This is the radius of the cylinder.
  • (h)  This is the height or length of the cylinder.

Moment of Inertial: The calculator returns the moment of inertia (MoI) in kilogram-square meters.  However, this can be automatically converted to other moment of inertia units via the pull-down menu.
