The Math / Science
The surface area calculation is a simple computation summing the lateral area sides of the green house defined by the semicircle of radius H times the roof area. The default input units are feet, and the calculator returns cubic feet. However, vCalc lets the user can choose one of many length and volume units for automatic conversion from the pull-down list for both the input length units and the output volume units.

The glass greenhouses are filled with equipment like screening installations, heating, cooling, lighting and airflow systems and also may be automatically controlled by a computer to maximize potential growth.
