The Conic Cylinder Tank Volume calculator computes the volume of a cylindrical tank with tapered (cone frustum) ends. Geometrically, this is a cylinder of any length (l) with a conic frustum on both ends.

- (d1) Diameter of Central Tank
- (l1) Length of Central Tanks
- (l3) Length of forward cone
- (d3) End Diameter of forward cone
- (l2) Length of rear cone
- (d2) End Diameter of rear cone
Volume of a Conic Cylinder Tanker (V): The calculator returns the volume in gallons. However, this can be automatically converted to other volume units (e.g. liters) via the pull-down menu. Note: d2 and d3 are often the same., and so are l2 and l3.
The Math
Geometrically, this is a central cylinder, with two frustums of a cones. The frustum of a cone is a section of a cone with two parallel planes defining the top and bottom of the section.
