Containers

A container is any device creating a partially or fully enclosed space that can be used to contain, store, and transport objects or materials. In commerce, it includes any receptacle or enclosure for holding a product used in trucking, hauling, packaging and shipping.   It also includes non-transportation containers such as planters and bottles. Things kept inside of a container are protected by being inside of its structure. The term is most frequently applied to devices made from materials that are durable and at least partly rigid.

vCalc's Container folder contains equations that can help calculate the volume, weight and other dimensions of containers and their content.  All are based on geometric shapes with dimensions. vCalc provides the user the ability to provide the dimension of the containers in various units, both metric (SI) and English.
