The Bags of Play Sand calculator computes how many bags of sand will be needed for the specified volume (V).

Bags of Play Sand (B): The calculator returns the number of .5 ft³ bags of sand equals the input volume (V).
The Math / Science
The number is equal to twice the number of cubic feet. That's because most commercially sold bags of play sand are are 50lb bags and approximately 0.5 ft³ .
