The mass fraction equation computes the ratio of mass substance A out of a total mixture of masses of two or more substances[2]. Hypothetically, if a mixture contained two substances A and substance B, mass fraction of substance A will be a ratio of the mass of substance A out of the total combination of masses of substance A and B.
The mass fraction is calculated by
