Rebar Volume

The Rebar Volume or Displacement calculator computes the total volume (V) displaced by rebar based on the length (L) and size (S) of rebar.

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

• (L) Any Length of Rebar
• (S) Rebar Size (2-11,14,18)  

Volume of Rebar (V): The calculator returns the volume (V) in cubic yards.  However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.       REBAR diameter and weight specifications

General Information

The rebar sizes indicate the diameter of the rebar rods (see Rebar Specification table).  Using simple math, the volume is simply the lateral area times the length.

       Volume  = Length • Lateral Area

The lateral area for different sizes of rebar can be seen in the table above.
