The Width of a Rectangle equation (w = A/h) computes the area             Rectangleof a rectangle (A) as a function of the width of the base (w) and height(h).

The Rectangle

A rectangle is a special form of a four sided polygon, quadrilateral.  A quadrilateral is a rectangle when opposites sides are parallel and of equal length, and when each corner is a right angle (90^o).    The quadrilateral below would be a rectangle if side a equaled side c, side b equaled side d, and angle α and β were both equal to 90^o.

A special case of a rectangle is a square, when all four sides are equal.
