The Velocity Addition calculator computes the sum of two velocities (v₁ and v₂).

• (v₁) Velocity 1
• (v₂) Velocity 2

Velocity Addition (v): The calculator returns the sum of the two velocities (v) in meters per seconds.  However, this can be automatically converted into other velocity units via the pull-down menu.

The Math / Science

The formula for the sum of two velocities is:

    v = v₁ + v₂

where:

• v is the sum of two velocities
• v₁ is the first velocity
• v₂ is the second velocity
