Roll #1:

This Roll a 4-sided Virtual Dice equation allows you to roll a d-6 and get a random number between 1 and 4. You can also get several rolls at once.  The default number of rolls is one (1).  However, you can specify any number of rolls up to 20, and the calculator will return that many random numbers between one and 4.  Have fun.

The Math / Science

A four sided die would be a regular tetrahedron /attachments/b3dbac53-0693-11e7-9770-bc764e2038f2/tetrehedron.png     Regular Tetrahedron.

This equation can be used as an equation inside another equation (what we call at vCalc an EiE) to generate a random integer between 1 and 4 inclusive.  Or you can use this equation independently to generate a dice roll in live game play.  This equation is the digital equivalent of rolling a four-sided dice.

To roll repeatedly, just click the refresh icon to the left of the output field which displays your roll: reset icon
