This acceleration equation, az = Fz/m, /attachments/dc13c646-e633-11e5-9770-bc764e2038f2/V3 - Vector.png  Components of Force in 3 Dimensionscomputes the acceleration (az) in the z coordinate based on the mass (m) and the force (Fz) in the z direction.  

INSTRUCTIONS:  Choose your preferred units and enter the following:

  • (Fz) Force in the z direction (z component)
  • (m) Mass of the object

The calculator computes the acceleration in the z direction (az) in meters per second squared.  However, the can be automatically converted to other acceleration units via the pull-down menu.
