The Diagonal of a Rectangle calculator computes the length of the diagonal of a rectangle (including squares) given the base and height.
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
- (L) Length of Rectangle
- (H) Height of Rectangle
Diagonal (D): The diagonal of the rectangle is returned in meters. However, this can be automatically converted to other length units (e.g. feet) via the pull-down menu.
A quadrilateral is a polygon that has four sides, four vertices (corners), and four angles. The sum of the interior angles of any quadrilateral is always 360 degrees. Quadrilaterals can vary widely in shape and properties, including:
- rectangles: squared corners and pairs of equal sides
- squares: squared corners and equal sides
- parallelograms: two sets of parallel sides
- trapezoids: one set of parallel sides
- rhombuses: four equal sides
- kites: two pairs of equal and adjacent sides
