Cost per Round (ammunition)

The Cost per Round calculator computes the cost per round of ammunition based on the cost of a container of cartridges and the number of rounds in the container.

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:

• (CpB) Cost per Box or Container of Bullets
• (RpB) Rounds per Box

Cost per Round (CpR): The calculator returns the cost per round in dollars.  However, this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu. Note: the answer is rounded to the nearest 10^th of a penny ($0.001).

The formula for the cost per round is:

CpR = CpB / RpB

where:

• CpR = Cost per Round
• CpB = Cost of a box of ammunition
• RpB = Rounds of ammunition in the box.
