SAR Duty Factor

The SAR Duty Factor calculator computes duty factor for a mono static synthetic aperture radar based on the pulse frequency and the time between pulses.

• (T_eff) Effective Pulse Width (time separation)
• (f_p) Pulse Frequency

The Math / Science

This equation calculates the duty factor¹ for a monostatic synthetic aperture radar.  This equation is most helpful in the context of calculating the Signal-to-Noise of a Synthetic Aperture Radar.
