The Wild Rice-to-Water Ratio calculator computes the amount of water in which one cooks wild rice.
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose your preferred units and enter the following:
- (dwr) Amount of dry wild rice.
Water (w): The calculator returns the amount of water in:
- cups
- fluid ounces
- liters
- grams
However, these can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menus.

Cooking Instructions
- Bring water or stock to boil.
- Reduce heat to a simmer.
- Add wild rice and cover.
- Cook for 40 to 45 minutes or until rice kernels open.
- Uncover and leave to steam off of heat for an additional 5 minutes.
- Drain remaining water.
