`Volume = V( d_1 , l_1 , d_2 , l_2 , d_3 , l_3 )`
`(d_1)"main cylinder diameter"`
`(d_2)"diameter of left end"`
`(d_3)"diameter of right end"`
`(l_1)"main cylinder length"`
`(l_2)"length of left end"`
`(l_3)"length of right end"`

The Volume of a Conic Cylinder calculator computes the volume of a cylinder with cone shaped (tapered) ends (see diagram).  /attachments/ff8bde84-2a36-11e4-b7aa-bc764e2038f2/Coniccylindervolume-illustration.png Conic Cylinder

INSTRUCTIONS: Choose the preferred units and enter the following:

  • (d1) This is the diameter of the main cylinder.
  • (d2) This is the diameter of the left end.
  • (d3) This is the diameter of the right end.
  • (l1) This is the length of the main cylinder.
  • (l2) This is the length of the left end.
  • (l3) This is the length of the right end.

Conic Cylinder Volume: The calculator returns the volume in cubic meters.  However, this can be automatically converted to other volume units (e.g. gallons) via the pull-down menu.
