The Length of Installed EMT Conduit calculator estimates the length of Electrical Metallic Tubing (EMT Conduit) that can be installed based on the Level of Difficulty (lvl), the size (S) of the conduit and the amount of time allocated (t).
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
EMT Conduit Install Length (L): The calculator returns the estimated installed length in feet. However this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.
EMT stands for Electrical Metallic Tubing (aka thin-wall tubing). EMT is often used as a lower cost solution to galvanized rigid conduit (GRC). EMT is not threaded but can be used with threaded fittings via the use of clamps. EMT is typically made of steel.
The relationship between length of conduit, level of difficulty, size of EMT and the time to install comes from industry standard numbers. The following table is the basis of this calculator.
