The Price per Volume Amount calculator computes the price to buy or sell a volume (A) of a product at a unit price (UP) per unit volume (UV).
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose volume units (e.g. gallons or cubic centimeters) and currency units and enter the following:
(A) Volume of Product - volume to be bought or sold (e.g., 3.4 cubic yards of concrete)
(UP) Unit Price - cost associated with the Unit Weight (e.g., $490 for 5 cubic yards of concrete)
(UV) Unit Volume - volume associated with the Unit Price (e.g., 5 cubic yards in the example above).
Price per Volume (TP): The calculator returns the price to buy A at UP per UV. The price will be returned in United States Dollars (USD). However, this can be automatically converted into numerous other currencies (see list below) via the pull-down menu next to the answer. The calculator also returns the number of units (nU) needed to achieve the volume requirement (Volume of Product).
The Math / Science
If you know how much a certain volume is valued, you can use that information to compute the value of a different amount of product. For simple example, a 750 milliliters (UV) of chardonnay may cost $26.07 (UP). In that case, how much would 15 liters (A) cost?
TP=A⋅UPUV
where:
TP = Total Price
A = Amount of product desired
UP = Unit Price for the Unit Volume
UV = Unit Volume that cost the Unit Price
MIX CURRENCY UNITS! vCalc automatically converts currency units. The exchange rates are updated every two minutes.
The Production Calculator computes the cost in time or capital to buy, produce or consume commodities measured by number of units or by length, area, volume or weight. It provides automatic conversions between different units for time, length, area, volume, mass and up to date currency conversions between several international currencies.
Price for Length: Enter a length and cost per unit length to see a total cost (e.g., 650 yards at $7.48 per foot is $14,586) .
Price per Area: Enter an area and cost per unit area to see total cost (e.g., 470 square feet at $3.23/ft2) to see a total cost.
Price per Volume Enter a length and cost per unit length to see a total cost.
Price per Weight or Mass: Enter a weight and cost per unit weight (e.g., 55 pounds at $2.45 per 6 ounces) to see the total cost.
Price per Ton: Enter the product weight and the price per ton to see the total cost.
Price per Unit: Enter the total number of units of a products, the unit price per unit number of units (e.g., 500 units at $47 per 20 units).
Price Compare Two Items by Length : Enter the length or distance and price of two items, and the calculator tells you which is the better buy and by how much.
Price compare Three items by Length: Enter the length or distance of tree items, and the calculator tells you which is the best buy and by how much.
Price compare Two Items by Area: Enter the area and price of two items, and the calculator tells you which is the better buy and by how much.
Price compare Three items by Area : Enter the area of tree items, and the calculator tells you which is the best buy and by how much.
Price Compare Two Items by Volume: Enter the Volume and price of two items, and the calculator tells you which is the better buy and by how much.
Price Compare Three items by Volume: Enter the Volume and price of three items, and the calculator tells you which is the better buy and by how much.
Volume is a three dimensional quantity, and can be computed by the product of three orthogonal lengths (V = l • w • h) or by an area times an orthogonal length (V = A • d).
