The Data Transfer Time calculator computes the amount of time needed to transfer an amount of data (S) via one of many transfer media (e.g. Ethernet).
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose data units and enter the following:
Transfer Time: The calculator returns the duration of the transfer (T) in seconds. However, this can be automatically converted to other time units (e.g. minutes, hours, days, months) via the pull-down menu.
Have you ever wondered how long it would take to transfer a file over a network or a hardware device? Well this handy calculator should help.
Here is a table of transfer rates that are used by the equation. Not all are implemented.
