The Pulley RPMs calculator computes the RPMs of a pulley based on the belt speed (bS) and diameter (D) of the pulley.Belt
INSTRUCTIONS: Choose units and enter the following:
- (bS) Belt Speed (Linear speed of the belt)
- (D) Pulley Diameter
Pulley RPMs: The calculator return the rotation rate in revolutions per minute. However this can be automatically converted to compatible units via the pull-down menu.
The Math / Science
The formula for belt pulley RPMs is
RPM = bS / (π • D)
where:
- RPM is the belt pulley rotation rate
- bS is the belt speed
- D is the diameter of the pulley
Simple Machine Calculators
